ROMKADE in Claude and ChatGPT

ROMKADE Cloud connects your console to Claude or ChatGPT. Ask in plain words: "find my Mega Drive platformers", "launch Sonic", "save my game", "turn the volume down", "infinite lives codes?". The assistant shows the box art, the game sheet and buttons to play, save, quit or set the volume.

Your computer does not need to be on: the ROMKADE app on the console talks to ROMKADE Cloud over Wi-Fi.

ROMKADE provides no games

The assistant only knows the games already on your console's SD card. ROMKADE does not host, find or download games.

What you need

From ROMKADE Manager (easiest): open My account > Console and select Link my console. The Manager installs the ROMKADE app on the console and links it to your account. Your console's screen confirms it.

With a pairing code: on the console, open the APPS menu, then ROMKADE. The app shows a 6-character code, valid for 15 minutes. Once the assistant is connected (step 2), say: "Connect my console, code ABC123".

One console per account for now.

2. Connect ROMKADE to your assistant

  1. Open Settings > Connectors, then Browse connectors and search for ROMKADE.
  2. Select Connect, then sign in with your ROMKADE account and select Allow.

Until ROMKADE appears in the directory, add it as a custom connector: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, address https://mcp.romkade.com.

  1. Open Settings > Apps and search for ROMKADE.
  2. Select Connect, then sign in with your ROMKADE account and select Allow.

Then start a conversation and ask: "What's on my console?"

Claude asks for your confirmation before an action that can lose progress (quitting a game, replacing a save state).

Remove access

  • One assistant: in ROMKADE Manager, My account > Apps > Remove access. You can also disconnect ROMKADE in the assistant's settings (Claude: Settings > Connectors; ChatGPT: Settings > Apps).
  • The console: My account > Console > Remove. The assistants can no longer drive it.
  • Your account: My account > Delete my account deletes the account, the linked consoles and their data in the cloud. Files on your console and computer are not touched.

Your data

ROMKADE Cloud receives your console's model and firmware, the name you gave it, and the list of its game files (names and sizes, never the games themselves), your favorites, and the names and dates of your saves when the assistant asks for them. It never receives what you write to the assistant. Servers in Europe. Details: privacy policy.

Message What to do
The console does not answer It is off or asleep (Wi-Fi turns off in sleep mode). Wake it up and try again.
